Nikos Outsikas was born in Athens in 1975.

He trained in the art of freehand drawing and color for five years, attending painting workshops in Athens.

In 1997, he began his professional career, working alongside visual artist Giannis Georgariou and producer Manolis Sakkadakis at the production company Magikon Productions, where he gained extensive experience in traditional animation, illustration, and storyboarding, with a particular focus on advertising.

Since 2013, he has worked as a freelance illustrator, collaborating with major advertising agencies and production companies both in Greece and abroad. His works have been featured in both short and feature films, as well as documentaries.

 

Some of his significant contributions include:

  • 2003: Participation in the film "Politiki Kouzina" by director Tassos Boulmetis.
  • 2004: Collaboration with the late director Theodoros Angelopoulos in the film "Trilogy: The Weeping Meadow".
  • 2018: Created the cover illustration for the British pioneers of heavy metal, Venom, for their album "Storm the Gates", released through Spinefarm Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.
  • 2020: Participated in 24 episodes of the series "Alphabet – Common Code" (Cosmote TV), directed by Stelios Tatakis and Agnes Sklavou.
  • 2020: Collaboration with "Desillas Games" for the illustration of the board game "1821: The Battle", under the auspices of the War Museum.
  • 2020: Participation in the drama series "Silent Road" (Filmiki Productions, Mega Channel).
  • 2021: Contributed to the Walt Disney film "Rise: The Story of the Antetokounmpos", under the guidance of renowned production designer and art director Daphne Kalogianni.
  • 2021: Participated in the short animated film "CAT POSTAL", directed by Zacharias Mavroeidis.
  • 2022: Contributed to the documentaries "Roofless Dreams" and "Fishing for Litter" by Sotiris Danesis.
  • 2022: Participated in the children's show "Kookooland" (Feelgood Product).
  • 2023: Presented his first solo painting exhibition titled "Fragments of a Morbid Life" at the iconic Gallery 7, curated by acclaimed visual artist Matina Stavropoulou.
  • 2024: Contributed to the mini-series "The Assassin" (Amazon Prime Video, Two Brothers Pictures, London - All3media Group Productions).
  • 2024: Participated in the drama series "The Great Chimera", directed by Vardis Marinakis, a co-production between ERT, Foss Productions, Beta Films, MomPracem Film, and Boo Productions.
